Post I

I am officially a blogger ;)
This blog will be subject to my 22-year old college student thoughts. Find the previous statement as somewhat of a disclaimer to future randomness and slight irresponsibility.
While pondering what my first post should be about, I decided to do a current obsessions, which I will title from now on - Liv's Loves<3.
Without further ado... let's get this started, shall we?

- Liv's Loves I
  • Being a native Floridian, I normally don't find winter to be the most pleasant season of the year. Some might call it wimpy, but in my opinion, a high of 50 degrees is torture in the purest form. With these chilly temps in mind, imagine my dismay when my closet consists of summery tanks and dresses, with a few cardigans thrown in. Thus, my first love are my Uggs. Although, you must know that I originally was not a fan of these for any other reason than their WARMTH. As time has passed, and I wear them more and more, they have grown on me and I plan to purchase my second pair in black in the near future.
  • Next on my list goes along with the winter theme, this is McDonald's Premium Hot Chocolate. I'm not quite sure why I am so obsessed with this delicious drink. It might not be the most sophisticated love, but it definitely is one!
  • When I get home in the afternoons, the first thing I reach for lately are fuzzy socks. Yep, I said it. Fuzzy socks. I acquired a new stash from the Christmas holidays and I am definitely enjoying them now, as well as my tootsies :)
  • Moving along, to beauty-ish items, I have fallen in love with the new Wet 'n Wild Spring 2011 Color Icon eyeshadow trio in Silent Treatment. The colors in this trio are so wearable for everyday occassions, such as work and school. The colors are very concentrated and transfer beautifully onto the lid with a good base (my favorite is MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly).
  • This isn't quite a "beauty" item, but it is definitely a recent staple to my winter routine, which is Chapstick Medicated lip balm. It is the best lip balm I have ever used to rid dry, cracked, winter-damaged lips. I must say, it is quite the item to get your hands on! The only stores that I can find it in are CVS and Walgreens. If you come across some, pick it up and give it a shot.
  • Revlon ColorStay has been my foundation for the past month, and I have found this classic to live up to the hype. Don't purchase with the notion that this product will perfect your skin, but it delivers a wonderful, matte coverage. I don't have terrible skin, but I do have some imperfections that I like to have evened out with my foundation. This product definitely delivers for around ten bucks. Who could ask for more?!
  • I am a self-confessed nail polish-aholic! I have a problem, and I will be the first to admit. Currently, I am attempting a polish ban... we'll see how long it lasts. But, I must include my current polish loves to this list!
  1. Tease-y Does It (OPI): I have found myself reaching for this polish more than any others recently, and it is quite strange for me to wear one as often as I wear this. I'm pretty sure that this is a limited edition (LE) polish from OPI, as it was released this fall with the Burlesque Collection. It is a deep, gorgeous reddish-plum with gold microglitters. In my opinion, it is the perfect winter color.
  2. Teenage Dream (OPI): Part of the newly released Katy Perry Collection, this little gem is very unique. Ok, ok, I admit, I might be a tad bit partial to this collection since I have a definite girl-crush on Katy... but that is a different story! Teenage Dream is a lively pink glitter polish. It has large and small pink glitters that only takes two coats to get a great color payoff on your nails. When I wore it, I paired it with the Black Shatter crackle polish that was also released in this collection, and it was a beautiful combination!
  3. Party of Five Glitters (Wet 'n Wild): This would have to be the most unique polish out of my favorites. It is a glitter polish that has HUGE multicolored glitters all throughout the clear-based polish. I first found this polish in a Walgreens close to my college campus, I quickly grabbed it because it was the last one in the display. After bringing it home and pairing it over a cream-black, I realized I might need a backup of this in the case that it is LE or discontinued. So, I went to another Walgreens and bought another. Ugh, I know I'm bad, but I couldn't help myself! When applied, the glitters are so large, it gives the effect of polka dots on your nails, which I love!

Ok, I must conclude now before I go on and on... because I really could :)

Now, go, be pretty and have a great day <3

Talk to y'all very soon!
